A function f(x) has x-intercept of -3 and -5.

The x-intercepts are the points where the function touches/crosses the x-axis.

Here the function has x-intercepts of -3 and -5 so

we can write

[tex] f(x)=(x+3)(x+5)\\
\\
f(x)=x^2+5x+3x+15\\
\\
f(x)=x^2+8x+15\\ [/tex]

Hence the constant term of the function is 15.
